*Okay, I tried it once, but only because I was at a bar and it was the only option and you KNOW what beer does to you and lets just say it did NOT end well, and apparently drunkeness + squatting + inexperience does not equal an enjoyable experience and like YOU could do better? Anyway, maybe its best if we don't talk about it anymore.

Ewww... the footplates have yellow stains on the edge.
It also brings to mind - how do handicaped people (specifically wheelchair bound) use the restroom in Japan? Is there a trap door in the bottom of their chairs?
Wait til you go to Thailand. Those are just about the only toilets you'll see except for in the hotels. I can't even tell you how many times I peed on my shoe (okay maybe I've said too much). Glad you are having fun! Happy Holidays!!
